How it works, what it costs, and what Meta allows.
How does comment-to-DM work?
You set a trigger keyword (like LINK) and a message. When someone comments that keyword, Meta sends our app a webhook, we match it, and reply with a public comment plus a private DM — all through the official Graph API.
Is this safe for my Instagram account?
Yes. We use only Meta's official API with your OAuth authorization — no passwords, no browser bots, no scraping. Automation only ever responds to people who engaged with you first, which is exactly what Meta permits.
Do I need a Business or Creator account?
Yes — Meta's API doesn't work with personal accounts. Switching is free in Instagram Settings → Account type, and takes two minutes.
What does it cost?
Core automation is free while in beta. If we add paid tiers later, pricing will be flat monthly — no per-message fees.
Can I use different messages per video?
Yes. Each post or reel gets its own keyword, reply text, DM content, and on/off toggles — with account-wide defaults filling any gaps.
